Reason
As long as I’ve known my friend Sarah, she has been famously talented in the art of baking. She makes the most unique treats, including the traditional German springerle cookie. Over a two-day process, each batch is perfumed with natural extracts, stamped with extremely detailed, hand-carved cookie molds, and baked off to a crisp, cake-like perfection. Last year, Sarah decided to offer her cookies and treats to the world, and opened Cottage Cookie.

Because springerle cookies are as amazing to look at as they are to eat, the logo needed to relate to the detail and tradition of her primary product. And because Sarah bakes these treats in her cottage-like home, using her house in the logo set a natural tone for her brand. After sketching the outlines of her one-story tudor within the stamped edges of a cookie mold, organic fonts and colors were chosen to compliment the logo. Labels were designed in different sizes with space to hand-write flavors and dates at the bottom. Her website was organized to be very simple and showcase her product imagery, at the same time allowing for easy ordering and pick up of cottage food.
