This program allows readers to instantly access online versions of content by scanning QR codes

Reason
This program is both complex in technology and simple in operation: access an eBook by taking a picture with a hand-held device. By scanning a book’s respective QR code, a reader is taken to that eBook—all while skipping digital library account login steps. This genius program needed to be illustrated carefully, concisely, and in an extremely clear way, to show just how easy it is to access content.

Rhyme
By focusing on the concept of going from book to screen, the visual became clear. The execution of this idea took many iterations, but eventually a simple and grid-like logo took shape. Framing this logo within hash mark corners implied a scanning action and finished it off. Creating illustrated steps to depict the access process was fun and followed the look and feel of the logo. More literal renditions of the split-screen concept were photo-composed to represent actual books and devices against different background locations.
